We were planning to have a birthday sale at the store today, but woke up to a blanket of white that is slowing our plans for the day.  Luckily our ice and frozen wonderland from last weekend’s storms melted.  We’re  praying for all those in neighboring Oklahoma who may not have power yet and now will be dealing with not only last night’s storm, but a second stormfront to follow this one.

We have plenty of chip wordbooks (for a great last minute gift) in the following themes:  Believe, Memories, Christmas Memories, Joy, Joy with red Bazzill pre-cut pages, Joy with green Bazzill pre cut pages.  We also have a lovely one left from Thanksgiving, Give Thanks.  In the more general themes;  Happy Birthday, Baby, Vacation, and an awesome stadium or ladder book with just the blank pages gradually getting larger (no letters on the pages).

If we continue to get dumped on today, I’ll work from home and brought one of the believe word books home along with some Flair nativity paper from the Rejoice collection.  I’ve traced out each of the letters on the pattern paper and plan to cover this book with the same pattern paper.  Add some beautiful beige, blue and tan ribbons to the rings and add some of my favorite holiday quotes and song lyrics as I put in some of the pictures from our past family Christmas Eve dinners.  if this turns out as I plan, this should be one of the books we set out each holiday season.

Its a beautiful day to create or bake or snuggle up with a good book and some Christmas tunes from your local Christmas station.  Be warm!

We tried to post this image on Monday when we were totally iced up and my ds was out trying to carve a path to the ‘to-it’ mobile.  We gave up after a couple hours and threatened again that the garage needed to get cleaned up so the car can go inside.   

To the point now about storms and the store.  Its our hope that this situation will be infrequent, but being a one-man-band/store owner and a home school mom storms can affect my punctuality (aargh!! my secrets are revealing themselves!!).  Storms may also cause me to just want to hunker down with the kids and stay in. 

Now that winter is approaching, if you happen to be braving out to see Scrap-To-It! on a stormy day — you might want to give us a call first…or at least check the website for weather updates that effect the store hours.  We try to be very accomodating, but life does happen and we want to avoid you being at the store without us.
