Basic Grey’s POTM – STI! Style

I am not doing this layout justice here, but will get it to my photo editor soon and repost this awesome layout.  Amy W. one of our talented regulars created her own version of this month’s Basic Grey page of the month layout.  This month we highlighted pages from Basic Grey’s June Bug Collection.  Fun stickers, rub-ons and awesome buttons completed the embellishments in this kit. 

Thanks Amy – for letting us show off your work.  Next month we hope to show you some of our other talented scrappers.  We are blessed to have some amazing talent amoung our regular customers.

Recipe Project – Time to pre-register

sbu recipe spinner.jpg Teresa Collin’s newest recipe collection taken STI! style. The presentation is made using 7 Gypsies photo spinner so that all your treasured recipes can be displayed on your kitchen counter top.  The spinner is an optional piece and not included in the cost of this class.  Several binding options will be presented in class.  The book/project pages can be created at the pre-registration price of $35.00.  If you pay on the day of class the price will be $40.00.  A 15% discount  will be given to all class members for your binding choice, the spinner and other pieces you might want more of when you  pre-pay for the products during class.   This will make an amazing gift or project for you to display in your own kitchen.  Not all of your work should be hidden in albums — this one is worth putting out for sharing.

Class begins at 10:45 Saturday July 18th. 

Pre-registration price will be given until 15th.

Happy Birthday America!!!

Is it irony that we woke up today on the day we celebrate our independence to rain (tears from Heaven)?  I wonder.  I have always had a stong patriotic heart.  I have studied and read the lives of our founding fathers and taught from primary sources the greatness of their lives to my students.  It is always exciting to think about July 4th, but I wonder today, how far we have come from the freedoms that were intended for us to possess by those who were there at the inception of our country.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. ~ The Declaration of Independence July 4, 1776
Today I wish for all a day of celebration, regardless of what weather your day is met with, may all the important things, the experiences that really matter be celebrated this day.  Celebrate the people in your lives; family and friends, young and old.  And of course, don’t forget to capture a part of this on film to record for those who will come behind.  Many of what was good from the days of our parents has been lost.  What will our kids loose?   I hope today is more than fireworks, hot dogs and hamburgers and as much about gratitude and prayers for our great country and those who are in office now as leaders.  May they all be true to that stewardship.

Happy Birthday America.  God bless you and all of us who hold this land dear.
