Don’t Miss Class…

this week because of the snow.   While the roads may be a bit snow packed the sun is out and its delightful.  The winter wonderland here in Wentzville will not stop classes this week.

You won’t want to miss our extra special Valentine’s day card class tomorrow.

Friday is our layout of the month class.  We have room for a few more students.  This is a great beginner class.  Come join us 11:00 this Friday. (Typcially the first Friday of the month for those who want to come but need to plan ahead.) Please call and book your spot so that your kit will be ready for you when you arrive.

February News

Welcome February! -

(Winter Warning!  Do we have a weather advisory in Wentzville today?  Well…if we do we are ignoring it and are at the shop…for a while at least.  Man!  Its coming down good huh?…Please call if you are going to brave the front and stop by.  We’ll be here a bit and hope to be here tomorrow too.  Hopefully they will plow the roads in my subdivision today.  Stay warm!)

I love February.  Or is it Pink that I love?  Well…either way the days are starting to lengthen and that means winter will soon give way to spring and warmer days.   Whatever you have planned for this month be sure to include some scrapping and cropping time.  Give your creative side a special spot on the calendar.

February Quotes:

Loving is not just looking at each other, it’s looking in the same direction.  ~Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, Wind, Sand, and Stars, 1939

I don’t understand why Cupid was chosen to represent Valentine’s Day.  When I think about romance, the last thing on my mind is a short, chubby toddler coming at me with a weapon.  ~Author Unknown

A hundred hearts would be too few
To carry all my love for you.
~Author Unknown

The hunger for love is much more difficult to remove than the hunger for bread.  ~Mother Teresa

New Products:

February is a slow month for new products due to the manufacturer’s trade show held at the end of January.  All of the hot new products for scrapbooking, stamping and paper crafting were on display last month.   Retailers were lined up to place orders for all the newest goods. This year some awesome new lines and new tools were released.

bia zutter kutterThe Zutter Kutter was on the top of my buying list.  This baby cuts chip, acrylic, book board and more.  $169.99.  E-mail me if you’d like to get on our pre-pay purchase plan for this tool.

wrmk cinch

The Cinch from We R is another tool that has my attention.  Yes, I know I have a Bind it All, and I do love it.   I’m just crazy about mini books and tools.  $99.99 and yes, we will have a pre-pay special for this tool as well.

th new distress pad set

Tim has 12 new colors in the distress line.   We have already placed an order for these and will be looking forward to those showing up at the shop towards the first of  March.  We are offering a pre-pay special on these too.  If you want to reserve yours – come by the shop and get on the list.  Pre-pay for your purchase and we will set yours aside as we check in the order.

Need some paper for Valentine cards?  We have several new lines in stock.  Quantities limited on many of the patterns.

Classes:

The class schedule is up.  Several fun projects are slotted for this month including an acrylic photo block and a cute tag album.  We’re starting a sketch class this month as well.  Be sure to sign up soon to reserve your space.

Crops:

Where have all my croppers gone……  (oh uhg! that dates me).    Last year we held our Girls Night Our Crop the last Friday of each month.  We had a great group and it was lots of fun.  However, one of our special croppers and her gang of crop-cronies has recently been diagnosed with cancer.   We miss her terribly and pray for a rich blessing for her as she goes through the challenges of fighting this disease.   To follow up on Mar’s treatment and care check out her caring bridge website.

This opens up a few slots for our crop night.  We’d love to fill this up again so if you’d like to come crop with us once a month, give us a call at the store or e-mail us.  Pre-pay for 6 crops and get one FREE!!!

Moving:

The move is still on – just rescheduled.  Evidently the dates of the current tenant’s lease were give to us in error  (little sniff!!)  and we’ll be moving the end of this month instead of last month.  Oh well…that give me 28 more days to move out inventory, make more plans, collect more tables and chairs for the crop area and all the other little tasks that have to be done before we move.  Its going to be exiciting either way!

Ten more days….

until Valentine’s day.   That’s plenty of time to make something for the special people in your life.  We’ve got plenty of supplies to help you accomplish that.  Have a wonderful month.  Be sure to tell people you love them every day – not just on the special days of the year.

 Drawing Winners!!!!

No I did NOT forget!!!!!!  Thanks to all those who participated!

Melanie and Amy – stop by soon and pick up your drawing winnings!    Thanks for playing along!
